Description
The package consists of a 1970’s Nichimo Jake and a very comprehensive resin upgrade by Lone Star Models. The kit is a rebox of a 1960’s Marusan kit which may be 1/50 scale dependent on who is reporting. The original kit was designed for use with a small motor for the propeller and so that portion must be removed to fit the resin cockpit. The wings may be folded however the mechanism is quite toy like. A beaching cart and floats are part of the plastic. The decals are quite red probably not the correct colouring for the purist. The decals may not work due to age so test ta small one prior to use. The LSM resin consists of a full cockpit, floor, sidewalls and seats and full motor motor is included as is a new vac formed canopy. At this time this is the only 1/48 Jake but buy this one and surely a new kit will be released. This is from my Battle of Midway collection.
